Meet the Artist – Janelle Bell-Martin

Janelle is a former Disney Key Assistant Animator who worked on several Disney classic animated films including: “Mulan”, “Tarzan”, “John Henry”, “The Emperor’s New Groove”, “Lilo and Stitch”, “Brother Bear”,and “The Princess and the Frog”. She graduated from the Columbus College of Art and Design with a B.A. of Fine Arts. way back in the 20th Century.

Janelle freelances, teaches Art at Foundation Academy, Orlando, and still enjoys a bit of Clean-up work, but mainly around the house these days 🙁

Writer, Gina Keller, came to Janelle to redesign her trilogy covers for Roach Girl, and after discussing how she always thought Roach Girl would make a great graphic novel. Both women agreed, and now she is bringing that story to you.

Janelle enjoys painting, gardening, working with animals, handbell choir, exercising, rafting, swimming, sculpting, and baking with her kids. Her heroes are her parents and grandparents for being great examples of hardworking, determined, caring, and helpful people.
